Click to find out what is it about the film that makes the star and his director so nervous.
Salman Khan will come next week to the theatres for the second time this year, after the blockbuster success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. His second film of 2015 is ready to entertain you, and since it’s Diwali, expect fireworks for sure!
Yes, we are talking about Prem Ratan Dhan Payo! PRDP is where Salman Khan returns to Rajshri Productions and under the direction of Sooraj Barjatya, after last seen working together in Hum Saath Saath Hai almost two decades before. It is touted to be a family entertainer, what else you expected from a Sooraj Barjatya film, but with enough action and masala to appease the youth. But what surprised us the most, when the trailers came out, was the grand scale in which Sooraj Barjatya shot the film. True, his films had large bungalows, huge families and all, but never the kind of grandeur you see in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. It’s like he has been taking lessons from Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
But, grand scale comes at the cost of a great budget, and going by the looks of it, PRDP is set to be the costliest film Rajshris have ever made. and that’s precisely what’s scares both the star and the director!
During a media interaction held on Sunday, Sooraj Barjatya reveals that he was shocked when he got the final budget of the film. Salman Khan jokingly added that if the film doesn’t become the biggest hit of the year, Rajshris will have to sell their business!
Also when Sooraj said that he is not telling everyone to watch their film this Diwali, but asking them to spend time with their families, Salman stops him and tells him not to repeat the same mistake he had once done with Don and Jaan-e-mann. Apparently he had told his fans to watch Shah Rukh Khan’s Don first before watching his film, but they only watched Don and never bothered with the second one.
So Salman fans, what do you think? Will PRDP overtake Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘s business and make profits for all involved? You are the king, so you decide…
