Salman Khan wasn’t happy with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – watch video!

And we are talking strictly about the title of the film. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor had some reservations about it and here’s why!

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo sees Salman Khan get back to Rajshri Productions after a gap of 15 years which is huge. Since then a lot has changed. From the gullible, lovable and innocent smiling Prem, Salman has graduated to cheeky Chulbul Pandey! But once you are Prem, you are always a Prem and the production house has never seen massive successes with any other Prem. Guess that made the makers have the name even in the title for all to know that the actor is back in his most loved character ever and hence Prem Ratan Dhan Payo came into being. But the Sultan chap wasn’t too elated about the title. He would have thrown out the director for merely suggesting the name had it not been Sooraj Barjatya. It is a mouthful for him!

This video shows what the title meant for each one of them. Initially, Salman said all good things about it as he felt there couldn’t be any better title than PRDP. But later the director revealed his first reaction to the name. We don’t blame him for that. In today’s day and age, such a film title is unheard of! He might have felt the same too! Someone whose films are now called Ready, Bodyguard and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, will obvious be a bit cagey about such a title but guess he gave in because of the director.
